Training & Certification
Training applications must be submitted using the official ESWASA application form available on our website or at our offices. Applications should be received at least 10 working days before the course commencement date. You can download the form from our website or collect it from our Matsapha office.
Course fees are payable in full and in advance by cash deposit or bank transfer to our Standard Bank account. Proof of payment must be submitted to the course administrator 7 working days before classes commence.

A cancellation fee of 50% of the course fee will be charged for cancellations made after confirmation and registration. We recommend notifying us as early as possible if you need to cancel your participation.
100% attendance is required for certificate issuance. For courses requiring examinations, the pass mark is 60%. Certificates of attendance are issued for non-examination courses. All certificates are issued upon successful completion of the course requirements.
Yes, on special written request, ESWASA can provide in-house training for organizations. This requires a minimum of 5 and maximum of 20 participants. The organization must provide a suitable training room with audio-visual equipment and refreshments.

There are no specific academic qualifications required to enrol for ESWASA training. Training is open to anyone ÔÇö individuals, students, graduates, MSMEs, government institutions and industry professionals. We encourage participants to have at least field experience and/or an academic background to better understand the concepts being discussed during training. Participants are also required to be able to read and write in English, as training and training materials are conducted in English.

Standards & Certification
ESWASA is the national focal point for standardization, conformity assessment, and quality promotion in Eswatini. We develop national standards, provide certification services, offer laboratory testing and calibration, and conduct training programs to build capacity in quality management.
Organizations seeking certification should contact our certification department. The process typically involves application, documentation review, on-site audit, and certification decision. We offer certification for various management systems including Quality, Environmental, Food Safety, and Occupational Health & Safety.
Eswatini National Standards (SZNS) are technical specifications developed by ESWASA to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems in Eswatini. These standards are often aligned with international standards (ISO) to facilitate trade and ensure global compatibility.
A standard is a document developed through consensus and approved by a recognised body that provides rules, guidelines, specifications, or characteristics for products, services, systems, or processes to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and consistency.

ESWASA facilitates testing of various products and commodities in accredited laboratories in the areas of Chemistry, Microbiology, Textiles, Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering, etc. The testing is performed to verify the quality of the product and conformity to the specified standards requirements. ESWASA testing services are available to the public, the industry, and various sectors of the economy.

Yes. ESWASA services are recognised internationally. ESWASA participates in regional and international standardisation activities and maintains relationships with organisations such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO), and SADC Cooperation in Standardization (SADCSTAN).
ESWASA is a full member of ISO, ARSO and SADCSTAN, and an affiliate member of IEC. ESWASA also collaborates with other National Standards Bodies through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), including an MoU with the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).
